Our dear Celeste was taken from us tragically on Saturday morning, May 17,1997. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Caring as much, if not more, for others and what she could do for them as she did for herself. ‘Try’ seemed to be her middle name working hard at sports; volleyball, basketball, and track (high jumping was her love). Excelling in the classroom through hard work and good study habits, and giving of her time for family, friends, and others. Her work in the Hays, Kansas chapter of Young Life (a non-denominational youth support group) while attending Fort Hays State University became the central ambition in her short time here with us. To that group of young people all we can say is God bless your efforts in helping the youth of the Hays, Ks. area and thank you all for sharing, and continuing Celeste’s love of helping others when it is not rewarded or required of you. You are all in our prayers.
